As we age, gradual changes can occur in the way our bodies and minds function.
As these changes accumulate, a person may develop a state known as "frailty," which is somewhere between being healthy and needing care.
Frailty is a concept that refers to a state in which people are more susceptible to health problems due to the decline in various bodily functions that occurs with age.
Being frail can have a variety of effects, including reduced muscle strength and activity, as well as depressed mood and reduced social connections.
It is important to recognize the condition early and take necessary measures to extend your healthy life expectancy.

What is "eye flail"?

Age-related decline in eye function

Among the various types of frailty, the concept of "eye frailty" focuses specifically on the decline in eye function.
This refers to a condition in which eye function has declined due to aging, living environment, etc., or a condition in which there is a high risk of this happening.
Difficulty seeing, eye fatigue, glare, etc. may appear as minor discomfort at first, but if left untreated, visual function will deteriorate and may affect quality of life (QOL).
What's important is to recognize these changes early and connect people to appropriate care and medical treatment.
